Valentine's Day is the perfect occasion to surprise your loved one with a homemade treat. These apple puff pastry roses are elegant, delicious, and easy to make. With their golden, flaky pastry, tender apples, and a touch of cinnamon, they are sure to melt hearts!
1 rectangular puff pastry
2 red apples (Pink Lady, Gala, or Fuji)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons apricot or raspberry jam ( or any that you like)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Honey (optional)Powdered sugar for decoration
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C.

Cut the apples in half, remove the core, and slice them thinly into half-moons.

Place them in a saucepan with water and lemon juice. Heat over low heat for 5 minutes until they soften slightly, then drain gently.

Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 6 equal strips.

Warm the jam in a small saucepan for a few seconds to liquefy it, then spread a thin layer over each strip.

Arrange the apple slices along the upper half of each strip, slightly overlapping them and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.

Fold the lower half of the pastry over the apples and gently roll it up to form a rose. Place each rose in a greased muffin tin.

Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35 to 40 minutes until the pastry is golden brown. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving. Add some honey if you like it sweet!
