Valentine's Day is the perfect occasion to surprise your loved one with a homemade treat. These apple puff pastry roses are elegant, delicious, and easy to make. With their golden, flaky pastry, tender apples, and a touch of cinnamon, they are sure to melt hearts!

Ingredients

1 rectangular puff pastry
2
red apples (Pink Lady, Gala, or Fuji)
2 tablespoons
lemon juice
3 tablespoons
apricot or raspberry jam ( or any that you like)
1 teaspoon
cinnamon (optional)
Honey (optional)Powdered sugar for decoration

Preparations

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C.

Step 2

Cut the apples in half, remove the core, and slice them thinly into half-moons.

Step 3

Place them in a saucepan with water and lemon juice. Heat over low heat for 5 minutes until they soften slightly, then drain gently.

Step 4

Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 6 equal strips.

Step 5

Warm the jam in a small saucepan for a few seconds to liquefy it, then spread a thin layer over each strip.

Step 6

Arrange the apple slices along the upper half of each strip, slightly overlapping them and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.

Step 7

Fold the lower half of the pastry over the apples and gently roll it up to form a rose. Place each rose in a greased muffin tin.

Step 8

Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35 to 40 minutes until the pastry is golden brown. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving. Add some honey if you like it sweet!

Step 9

Enjoy this romantic dessert with your loved one(s)!
