For a cozy, spiced twist on the classic pumpkin spice latte, why not combine it with the rich flavours of Masala Chai tea from Tekoe? This fusion of autumn flavours and warming spices creates a unique, aromatic drink that’s perfect for those chilly days. Plus, it's easy to make at home!
1 Tekoe Masala Chai tea portion
2 tbsp of pumpkin puree
1 cup of almond milk sweetened or unsweetened ( find our homemade recipe here )
1-2 tsp of maple syrup ( optional)
1 tsp of pumpkin spice blend (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves)
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
Vegan whipped cream for topping (optional)
Ground cinnamon for garnish
Step 1
Steep 1 Masala Chai tea bag in 120 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water for 5 minutes, then remove the tea. This will give your latte a deep, spiced tea base.
Step 2
In a small saucepan, heat the milk and 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree over medium heat, whisking continuously until hot and well combined.
Step 3
Stir in the pumpkin spice mix, vanilla extract, and maple syrup (or honey) into the milk-pumpkin mixture. Let it warm for another minute.
Step 4
Pour the brewed Masala Chai into a mug, then add the spiced pumpkin milk mixture on top. Stir well to combine.
Step 5
Top with whipped cream and sprinkle a bit of extra pumpkin spice or cinnamon for decoration.
Step 6
Enjoy!
